Cottonwood Center for the Arts
Cottonwood Center for the Arts is pleased to present a juried community exhibition for the month of August: METAL
Metal has contributed its unique qualities to fine art for centuries, and contemporary artists continue to find surprising and inventive ways to utilize it their art practices. Of course sculpture comes to mind, from the monumental rusty steel forms of recently passed minimalist icon Richard Serra to the bright, light, and sharp kinetic works by Colorado Springs’ own Starr Kempf. 2D artists have equally inspiring materials in the form of ever-improving metallic pigments, as well as metal leaf applications.
This call invited artists to submit works that either highlight metal as a primary medium or depict subjects made of metal. All mediums were considered.

New Pikes Peak Arts Council Member Show
Enjoy good food and a large selection of my art at Salad or Bust in Downtown Colorado Springs this month as a member of the Pikes Peak Art Council.
How Do You See God?
This annual show at Academy Art and Frame Company tries to answer that question from multiple viewpoints. My latest acrylic painting "Winter Sun - Psalm 84:11" and "Light in the Stairwell - John 8:12" demonstrate my view of God as Light of the World. These will be on show through the month of August. Images from the show are also published in a book that can be signed and purchased.
