Things Learned While Unemployed
Gas is saved because there’s nowhere to go.
Food bill is cheaper when you don’t eat three squares a day (There’s only so much bratwurst and canned corn one can eat!)
Silence is golden . . . gray, blue, orange, pink and whatever other colors I can see outside my window.
Solitude is good . . . after you get used to it.
Television sucks.
Too much television really sucks.
Books become friends again.
Empathy develops for the home-bound, sick and other unemployed.
Prayer life increases by the metric ton.
God still provides.
Humility is really the only path to freedom.
